Arsenal have agreed to sign England midfielder Georgia Stanway on a free transfer from Bayern Munich, sources confirmed. The 27-year-old will join the north London club at the start of July, subject to passing a medical.
Stanway’s contract with the Bundesliga champions expires at the end of June, and all terms have been finalized for her move to Arsenal. The transfer represents a significant addition to the club’s midfield options.
The midfielder spent two seasons at Bayern Munich, winning the Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal titles. She previously played for Manchester City, where she developed into a key player for both club and country.
Stanway brings international experience with 71 caps for England, including appearances at major tournaments. Her versatility and goal-scoring ability from midfield are expected to strengthen Arsenal’s squad depth.
Arsenal manager Jonas Eidevall has sought to reinforce his midfield, and Stanway’s arrival is seen as a boost to the team’s ambitions in the Women’s Super League and European competitions.
